Suge Knight Is Convinced Tupac Shakur Is Still Alive

Well, this is a plot twist if we ever heard one. It turns out that producer and music mogul Suge Knight is buying into the popular conspiracy theory that late rapper Tupac Shakur never actually passed away and is still alive to this day. Though the Death Row Records founder witnessed Tupac’s 1996 murder with his own eyes, he’s still not convinced that the “All Eyez on Me” hitmaker lost his life following the drive-by shooting.

In a clip from the upcoming special Who Shot Biggie & Tupac obtained by TMZ, Suge, who is awaiting sentencing on an unrelated murder charge, talks to rapper Ice-T and journalist Soledad O'Brien about Pac’s death. "When Pac died... if he really did, you know,” he’s heard saying over the phone from jail. “I mean when I left that hospital, me and Pac was laughing and joking. So I don't see how someone can turn from doing well to doing bad.”

Though both Ice and Soledad expressed some hesitation when it came to believing Suge’s theory, he assured them that there was a strong possibility that Tupac could still be alive to this day. “I’m gonna tell you with Pac, you never know.”

If anyone should know what really happened that night, it would be Suge, whose real name is Marion Hugh Knight, Jr. On the night of Sept. 7, 1996, 14 shots were fired into a car, six of which hit Tupac. The rapper was riding in the passenger seat and Suge was driving. On Sept. 13, after being hospitalized, Tupac ultimately passed away at the age of 25 due to the injuries he sustained.

Just this year, Suge issued an affidavit, in which he claimed the culprits behind the drive-by were actually targeting him and not Tupac. Suge pointed to his ex-wife and a Death Row Records security chief as the criminals behind the murder.

Suge has apparently "known for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife Sharitha were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight,” as a plot to gain control over the record company.

Whether or not this mysterious murder will ever be solved is to be decided, but needless to say, Tupac will be remembered forever as one of the most influential rappers in history. Do you think he is still alive?
