It seems as though Kanye West’s battle with mental health issues is taking a physical toll on him. A source close to the Kardashian fam exclusively tells In Touch that, after being hospitalized and canceling his Saint Pablo tour, the father-of-two has turned to food to help him cope. And his friends and family are growing concerned.
The source says that the rapper “has gained about 25 pounds over the last few months,” adding that the 5-foot-8 star, who has been laying low since his November breakdown, now weighs around 200 pounds. And though the family has tried to help the 40-year-old stop the binge eating the insider says that “there’s nothing anyone can tell him to make him stop — including
“Kanye’s not performing anymore, so he spends most of his time at home eating,” the source adds. “He loves Wendy’s and McDonald’s and is also into Kettle potato chips, Twinkies, and Froot Loops cereal. He’s also stopped working out. He really doesn’t care how he looks anymore.”
On top of his emotional turmoil, he’s also dealing with the upsetting feud he’s having with former BFF JAY-Z. And as In Touch previously revealed, the two may never reconcile. “They will never speak again,” an insider said. “It’s over.”
The nail in the coffin came in Jay’s diss to Ye in the song “Kill Jay Z” on his latest album 4:44. In it he raps: “But this ‘f--k everybody’ attitude ain’t natural/But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe/But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye/You gave him 20 million without blinkin/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f--k was he thinkin’?/‘F--k wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin’/But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane."
And since the track’s release, the “Gold Digger” rapper has pulled his music from Jay’s streaming service TIDAL. Though neither have commented on the surprising business decision, many have speculated that the two may end up in court since pulling his content may be considered a breach of contract.
