Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo touches down in China with freestyle skills above picturesque Shanghai
Cristiano Ronaldo has touched down in Shanghai ahead of a brief pre-season appearance in China.
The Real Madrid superstar has made the trip to the Far East and was given a huge welcome by his mass of Asian followers.
Ronaldo took to social media platform Instagram to show off an image of himself juggling a football with the picturesque Shanghai skyline spanning behind him. Captioning the image Ronaldo wrote: 'Hello China! I'm here for 3 days. Ready for brilliance #CR7Live.'
Later on Saturday, he travelled to the Shanghai Stadium to watch the Chinese Super League match between Shanghai SIPG and Guangzhou Evergrande.
Ronaldo has been a busy man recently, after visiting a hospital in Singapore on Friday along with Valencia owner Peter Lim.
Lim's daughter Kim has just given birth and the pair went to see her and her newborn child.
Ronaldo was greeted by hundreds of fans hunting autographs as he arrived at Thomson Medical Hospital after Kim gave birth to a baby boy.
The Madrid icon is close with Lim and sold six years worth of his image rights to Mint Media, a company owned by the Singaporean businessman, in 2015. Ronaldo now finds himself in China where he is expected to sign a new major endorsement deal with Mint Media and attend events in Beijing and Shanghai.
