Justin Bieber named the “worst-behaved” ‘SNL’ guest by show veterans

Is it too late now to say sorry?

Justin Bieber has been named Saturday Night Live‘s “worst-behaved guest” by show veterans Bill Hader and Jay Pharaoh.

The pair – who featured on the show from 2005 to 2013 and 2010 to 2016 respectively – were recently asked:
“Who was the worst-behaved musical guest or host [during] your time at ‘SNL’?”
Despite the huge roster of bands and artists to take to the iconic stage, there was no hesitation between the two. “We both know, dawg,” Pharoah said, with Hader responding: “Yeah, it was Bieber.”

“He was in a bad place,” Hader added. “Maybe he’s in a better place. But back then… it was rough.”
The comedian described Bieber as being “exhausted or at the end of a rope.” Check out the clip below.

The pop star appeared on the huge US show as host and musical guest in 2013 to promote his ‘Believe’ album and tour.

Bieber’s appearance was around the time that his life was fraught with controversy and incident. In 2014, there were reports of his frequent marijuana and prescription drug use and he was arrested for involvement in an illegal street race. Bieber also threw eggs at a neighbour’s house, was charged with assaulting a limousine driver, and was sued by a paparazzi who claimed the star assaulted him.

Last year, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun called the star’s meltdown ‘worse than people realised’.
“I failed him day after day,” he said. “We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place.”
In other Bieber news, the singer recently joined Craig David on stage in LA.

“So this guy right here supported me from day one, came to my shows,” Bieber said of David as the pair performed at the Roxy Theatre earlier this week.
